The substance here is that which is walked on every day, that which is unpopular, which grazes the eye, which is washed up, which is usually only part of a context. In the working process, an imprint is made of it, which then shows something else or something similar. That is the drawing. It hits you unprotected and leaves you startled. Merciless, where there is no line, where there is a line. You let go and see what happens. The resulting depictions are actually reflections of being hit and reflections in devices and constellations. The devices turn against us, we didn't want them. We can understand why they keep raining down on us, seeming to have life, a pile of junk that can be decoded, taken, transformed, shredded.
