SITE-SPECIFIC INTERVENTION IN THE WESTWERK HAMBURG 2022

The space in the Westwerk was a garage, pillars stand in the room, it is somewhat confusing. The exhibition ALS ICH SCHLÄFRIG WAR is a site-specific intervention in this space. References to church or temple rooms, in which pictorial representations on floors, walls and ceilings are part of the usual repertoire, are visible. The images become part of the space, the space is used in its three-dimensionality and charged with content. The representations are connected with the surroundings and the other representations. Therefore, there are pictures on the floor, there are constellations of pictures, the pictures are repeated by mirrors on the floor and on the wall. Doors, windows and other elements of the room are covered with pictures. The result is a flow, in part an abundance. The room is furnished, you can sit down, a guitar and an amplifier are ready to be played, a burning candle warms the room.
